Sixth Street by Arizona Stadium will be closed Friday evening, from 3 p.m. to midnight, for a University of Arizona football game.

East Sixth Street from North Highland to North Martin avenues will be closed to vehicles Friday, Sept. 22, from about 3 p.m. to midnight because of the UA football game.

The closure is to accommodate pedestrian activity and to ensure safety around Arizona Stadium, according to a news release from the city transportation department.

There will also be lane restrictions during this time on Sixth Street from North Campbell Avenue to Martin and from North Euclid Avenue to Highland.

The Wildcats play the University of Utah at 7:30 p.m.

Fans can use the Sun Link streetcar to get to and from the stadium for the game. The stadium is a short walk from the East Second Street and North Cherry Avenue streetcar stop.
