The Translational Genomics Research Institute is seeking high school and college students for its summer internship program.

The organization, known as TGen, selects 45 students each year for its biomedical research program, which is also supported by the Helios Education Foundation.

The program is an eight-week paid internship for students in Arizona who are interested in bioscience and medicine. Selected interns will become Helios Scholars and receive one-on-one mentorship from scientists at TGen.

They will participate in research projects that aim for new discoveries about illnesses.

The deadline to apply is Feb. 10. For more information, visit www.tgen.org/intern or call 602-343-8459.
