3 Tucson Motor Vehicle Division offices extend hours

Three Motor Vehicle Division offices in Tucson have expanded weekday hours by 30 minutes through the summer, officials said.

The office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

• Tucson North at 7330 N. Shannon Road.
• Tucson East at 1360 S. Stocker Drive.
• Tucson Regional at 3565 S. Broadmont Drive.

The new hours are an effort to reduce customer wait times, according to an Arizona Department of Transportation announcement Monday.

“We want to provide more opportunities for customers to get their business done quickly with MVD,” said Eric Jorgensen, director of the ADOT Motor Vehicle Division, in a news release.

“We are committed to improving wait times and making the overall customer experience better,” Jorgensen said.

Employees will be working alternative schedules to accommodate the extra 30 minutes offices are open. The division did not hire more personnel, officials said.

The new hours went into effect in recent weeks and wait times at the Tucson Regional office have improved, officials said. Further adjustments to hours may be made to improve wait times.
