An Oro Valley man accidentally shot and killed his Terrier on Tuesday afternoon while cleaning his gun, officials say.
The man, who lives in the 10900 block of NorthΒ La CaΓ±ada Drive, forgot to remove the bullet from the chamber when cleaning his gun, said Carmen Trevizo, an Oro Valley Police spokesperson.
Trevizo said the man immediately reported the incident after he accidentally fired the gun, killing the dog.Β
