A man, who police say is among the top sharers of child porn in Arizona, is facing sexual exploitation charges of a minor in a case involving the downloading and sharing of child pornography on the Internet.

Joseph Henry Kozak, 38, was taken into custody at his work place Wednesday, and booked into the Pima County jail, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Kozak faces 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and investigators said that Kozak downloaded and shared nearly 10,000 photos and videos containing child pornography, Dugan said.Β

In February, the department's Internet crimes against children unit developed information that someone in the Tucson-area was downloading and sharing child pornography on the Internet, Dugan said.

It led detectives to a residence in the 400 block of West Orange Grove Road, west of North Oracle Road. Detectives found evidence that implicated Kozak in the case, Dugan said.

He said police urge parents to monitor their children's social media accounts, including online friends, connections and conversations for their safety.
