Does the University of Arizona truly need two diversity officers (at a total of $429,000) when the university's human resources managers and EEOC officers can't accomplish the same functions? I hope President Ann Weaver Hart will kindly explain to aspiring students from low-income families, disadvantaged high schools and underprivileged communities that $429,000 has been given to two administrators who will ensure their cultural needs and sensitivities would have been fully met had they been financially able to enroll at the UA.
I hope she will explain this expenditure to our governor and the state Legislature. Is it any wonder that Donald Trump, who has no time for political correctness, may be the next president of the United States? Please, please, someone say to Ann Weaver Hart, "You're fired!" Now you can devote all of your time to DeVry University. And by the way, take your two diversity officers with you.
