On Sunday the Arizona Daily Star published a story about a local baby, Hayden Poeling, who recently had brain surgery to disconnect her left hemisphere due to a rare condition called hemimegalencephaly.
Readers have been asking how they can help the family, who have had some financial struggles due to lost wages during Hayden's illness.

Anyone who wants to send the family money through the mail may send it to Hayden's grandmother, Sherry Scheuring, in Phoenix, where the Poeling family is planning to live temporarily since that's where all of Hayden's doctors are.
Living with family is also their most affordable option at the moment, since their landlord in Red Rock is selling the home where they currently live and they haven't been able to find another local affordable rental.
