At last count, this video post on the Arizona Daily Star's Facebook page has been seen by 1.7 million people in their Facebook newsfeeds.

In the video from Officer Michael Rapiejko'sΒ dashboard camera, you see him speeding to the scene as other officers talk on the radio. He's directed down a street by a bystander (who RapiejkoΒ yells at to leave since he doesn't have a gun or a vest) down the street, move around another squad car, and slam into Mario Miranda Valencia.

Police say Valencia had stolen a rifle from a Marana Walmart store on Feb. 19 and fired it as he walked away β€” and that he had allegedly been involved in a spree of other crimes across the city.

The video itself has been watched more than 500,000 times on Facebook and another 500,000 on our YouTube channel.
