Southern Arizona teachers have an opportunity to win classroom supplies for the upcoming school year.

Tucson Values Teachers is retooling its Tucson Supplies Teachers campaign in which community members donated supplies to be distributed across the region, to instead providing $50 Walgreens gift cards to teachers to purchase items specific to their classroom needs.

Walgreens school supplies will be greatly discounted and the store will provide a 15 percent discount for all teachers, with a 25 percent discount on Walgreens brand items through Aug. 31.

The number of gift cards awarded will be dependent on the funds raised by Tucson Values Teachers and its partners.
