Tucson police were investigating a shooting at North Greasewood and West Anklam roads near Pima Community College West Campus on Feb. 17, 2016.

A gunshot victim was dumped Wednesday afternoon near Pima Community College West Campus, police said.

Shortly before 3 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at North Greasewood and West Anklam roads, said Officer Daniel Lucas, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Police also received a report that a vehicle dropped off a man at that location and took off, Lucas said.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot trauma who was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital, said Lucas.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area. Anklam and Greasewood roads are shutdown.
