A Tucson man has been charged with dozens of fraud-related felonies for allegedly forging time cards while working for a local nonprofit, documents show.

On April 7, a Pima County grand jury indicted Rafael Arturo Zavala on 31 counts of forgery, theft and fraudulent schemes, according to court documents.

Zavala was employed at CODAC Behavioral Health Services and worked as a systems administrator, according to his LinkedIn page.

The court documents say that between June 2014 and July 2015, Zavala falsely reported on time sheets and mileage reimbursements, defrauding CODAC of between $4,000 and $25,000.

Zavala is scheduled to appear in court Friday, April 15.

A representative of CODAC was not immediately available for comment.
