A man wanted in connection with a double homicide on Tucson's east side was arrested Wednesday in Detroit.ย 

Tucson police identified Antajuan Stewart Carson Jr. as a suspect in an Oct. 11 shooting in the 7900 block of Senate Street, near South Pantano and East Golf Links roads, that killed two men.ย 

A felony arrest warrant was issued for Carson, 18, for two counts of second-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault.

He was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal's Service at a family member's house in Detroit, Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson police spokeswoman said in a news release.ย 

Police determined that the night of the shooting, a fight broke out in front of a house where about 50 people were attending a party, and shots were fired.ย 

When police arrived, 18-year-old Stanford Bell was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Javohn Milne, 20, was taken to the hospital where he died a short time after arriving. A third victim was shot and had serious injuries.ย 

Carson will remain incarcerated in Detroit pending his extradition to Pima County.
