A Tucson man is facing charges of assaulting multiple people during a 40-minute crime spree in midtown on Monday, police said.

Ivan Crim, 20, was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail following several assaults, police said. He is facing 11 counts of felony aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument; 1 count of felony attempted robbery; and 1 count of felony criminal damage.

Tucson police said none of the people assaulted was seriously hurt.

According to Tucson police:

At about 4 p.m. Monday numerous 911 calls reported a man assaulting people in the midtown area. The first incident happened in a convenience store in the 2600 block of North Columbus Boulevard.

Police said Crim assaulted a store employee with a baseball bat and then fled in a vehicle.

He then went to another business in the 3100 block of North First Avenue and assaulted an employee before fleeing again in a vehicle.

Crim then approached two men who were walking their dogs in the 900 block of East Adelaide Drive, near North Tyndall Avenue. He attempted to assault them with a bat but was unsuccessful. The suspect began chasing the men in his vehicle but they were able to seek safety inside a residence.

Crim drove at a high rate of speed and struck a stalled vehicle in the 2800 block of North Park Avenue. The suspect then assaulted with a bat two people who were attempting to move the vehicle out of the road. Crim then fled and threatened another man who was standing in front of a residence in the 200 block of East Prince Road before fleeing again.

Using a description from multiple callers, officers found Crim in a vehicle in the 3500 block of North Fontana Avenue. He was detained following a traffic stop, police said.
