Pima Animal Care Center staff helped authorities remove more than 100 animals from a property in Three Points, Thursday.
An investigation revealed around 40 dogs, 50 chickens or roosters, 10 potbelly pigs, a ferret and snake were on the property.
PACC's Animal Protection Service officers were on scene around 9 a.m. assisting the Pima County Sheriff's Department. Deputies called the center after performing a welfare check at the property.
Property owners surrendered the dogs to PACC and if healthy, they will be available for fostering or adoptions, a press release said. The center expects the dogs to arrive around 2 p.m.
The livestock will be sent to partners equipped to care for the animals. Animal protection officers are coordinating with shelters in preparations for future adoptions, the release said.
