Two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash just after midnight Tuesday, police say.
A black 2003 Mercedes was found in a field shortly after a resident called 911 about 12:15 a.m. reporting a load crash, according to a news release.
Police say the driver, Gabriel Joseph Jerez, 26, of Hereford, and the passenger, Richard Andres Bustamonte, 19, of Sierra Vista, were both thrown from the vehicle and killed. Marks on the road and in the field show that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the road and rolled, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
