The Hut is making noise as it vies to be the next big live-music venue

From piano bars to vintage arcades to secret speakeasies, Arizona's got it all when it comes to an exciting place to grab a drink.

Luckily for Tucsonans, two of the 10 spots on Best Things Arizona's list of best theme bars can be found right in our town.

The first Tucson spot to land on the list is The Shelter, 4155 E. Grant Road, which has been a longtime favorite in town.

"This 1960s-inspired bar is filled with retro nostalgia that's fun for any generation," Best Things says. "You'll find vintage pinball machines, old-school lamps and 20th century movies playing on old TVs."

In keeping with its 1960s theme, The Shelter also offers ridiculously low prices, according to Best Things.

The next Tucson spot to make the list is The Hut, located at 305 N. 4th Avenue.

"The Hut sets itself apart (from other 4th Avenue bars) with a Hawaiian-style themed and laid back vibe," Best Things says. "You'll find tropical drinks, live music and an eclectic crowd at this themed bar."

For those who are stuck on "island time," The Hut offers drink specials starting at 9 p.m.
