Seven dogs got out of a Tucson house safely Friday after it caught fire, officials said.

The house near North First Avenue and East Prince Road was empty except for the dogs and a cat when it caught fire, Tucson Fire said on Twitter.

The dogs got out and were with neighbors as a crew fought the fire. The cat died in the house.

It took firefighters about 40 minutes to control the blaze.
