An 80-year-old suspect who was wanted on two counts of armed bank robbery has been arrested, according to the Tucson Police Department.ย
Robert Francis Krebs has been booked into the Pima County Jail in connection with the robbery of the Pyramid Credit Union in the 4400 block of North Oracle Road last Friday.
Krebs was recognized on Saturday by an employee when he attempted to get a room at a local hotel. He left the hotel before getting the room, police said. Later, the employee identified Krebs from a social media post and notified the authorities.
Police investigators began checking nearby hotels and motels and found Krebs.
