A Sierra Vista man has been arrested in suspicion of child-sex crimes, police say.
John Shearer, 34, was arrested on two counts of sexual conduct with a minor child, child molestation, and furnishing harmful items to a minor child, said Sgt. Brian Sebastian, a spokesman for the Sierra Vista Police Department.
He was being held at the Cochise County jail on a $10,000 bond, as well as a $50,000 bond for an unrelated second-degree burglary charge, Sebastian said in news release Monday.
Shearer was arrested Friday as he walked along Fry Boulevard, he said.
Detectives had been investigating the molestation case since March, Sebastian said.
