Food Network has spoken, but do you agree with what it has to say?

Food writer Jackie Alpers makes her picks in the online article, "Welcome to Tucson: 10 Must-Try Mexican-Inspired Dishes," also giving readers history of the restaurants, dishes and our fair city.

Classics on the list include El Charro's carne seca, burgers at Lindy's and Sonoran hots dogs at BK's or El Guero Canelo, but some different items also made the cut, including chicarrones from Penca.

Perhaps receiving the highest praise, Taqueria Pico de Gallo was featured twice on the list.
