Tucson police are looking for two suspects of a hit-and-run that left two people dead on South Park Avenue, Saturday morning.ย 

Officers responded to a serious injury collision report shortly after 5 a.m. at the intersection of South Park Avenue and East Drexel Road, according to a news release from Tucson Police Department.ย 

Upon arrival, the officers discovered an empty black 2008 Volkswagen Jetta and a white 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, which was occupied by an adult male and adult female, both dead.ย 

Detectives determined that the Malibu was traveling in the median lane, northbound on South Park Avenue and was struck by the Jetta after entering the East Drexel Road intersection, the news release said.ย 

The Jetta was traveling east on Drexel.ย 

The driver and passenger of the Malibu have been identified as 62-year-old Joanne Berg and 62-year-old David Lowell Berg.

Witnesses saw the driver of the Jetta help his passenger exit. Both ran from the scene, according to the release.ย
