A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision on Tucson's east side Friday night, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson police spokesman.

Tucson police reported the incident occurred at Pantano Parkway and 22nd Street around 8:30 p.m.

Officers are investigating at the scene and the intersection has been shut down for an unknown amount of time.

No further information was released by the department.
