A 7 year old called 911 after the clothes dryer in the family's house caught fire.

A 58-year-old woman was checking her laundry Sunday evening at a home on the 4500 block of South 11th Avenue when she saw flames coming out of the back of the dryer. She told the 7 year old to call 911 while she tried to put out the fire, the Tucson Fire Department said in a news release.

She was unable to extinguish the flames and finished the call to 911 started by the child, TFD said. The family of four, as well as two dogs, left the house. Firefighters arrived and stopped the flames from spreading. No injuries were reported.
