Several memorial funds have been set up to honor and help victims of Saturday’s shootings, and free grief-counseling hotlines are available. Several fundraisers are being planned as well.
Fundraisers
• The Tucson Children’s Museum, 200 S. Sixth Ave., is offering free admission Saturday and encouraging museum visitors to bring food or financial donations for the Community Food Bank in honor of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• The Tucson fast-pitch softball community is having a tournament this weekend for the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund at Mike Jacob Sports Park, 6901 N. Casa Grande Highway. It will start at 9 a.m. Saturday and probably run until 7 p.m. On Sunday it will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost to enter the five-game tournament is $250 per team. Admission to the park is $3 for spectators. There will be hot-air balloon rides for a fee, and Desert Thunder Blue will be handing out pink and purple hair ribbons in honor of Christina-Taylor. The Tucson Storm will sell baked goods. Call 400-8323 for more information.
• Metropolis Salon is holding a cut-a-thon from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 6739 E. Broadway to raise money for families of the shooting victims. Haircuts for men and women will be $25 each. Blowdry and styling is available for an additional $10. (Haircuts are usually $55 for women and $35 for men.) 2011 Entertainment Books, which regularly sell for $35, will be sold for $20. There will be a raffle, and several vendors will sell things such as tea and smoothies to raise money as well.
• Both area Texas Roadhouse restaurants will host fundraisers from 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday to benefit the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Fund. Off-duty Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies will help the wait staff serve customers, and accept tips and donations for the fund. The restaurants, at 170 S. Wilmot Road and 8450 N. Cracker Barrel Road, will donate 10 percent of all sales that day to the fund.
• Pump It Up, an indoor inflatable bounce house, is hosting a fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to benefit the families and victims of the shooting. The entry fee is $7 per child. Pump It Up of Tucson is located at 3248 N. Freeway Industrial Loop.

• Victims, witnesses and their families can call the Pima County Attorney’s Office Victim Services Division from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at 740-5525. The division also provides group crisis intervention; call the same number for more information.
