A Northwest Fire District crew battle a mobile home fire March 2, 2017 on Tucson's northwest side. The homeowners were not home and no injuries were reported, said Capt. Brian Keeley, a fire district spokesman.

Northwest Fire District crews battled a mobile home fire Thursday on Tucson's northwest side.

The homeowners were not home and no injuries were reported, said Capt. Brian Keeley, a fire district spokesman.

Firefighters responded shortly before 2 p.m. to the 3000 block of West Emerald Circle after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting smoke and flames coming from the mobile home, said Keeley.

The neighborhood is west of Interstate 10 and north of West Ruthrauff Road.

When the first crew arrived, they found the home engulfed in flames. A porch collapsed and portions of the roof were comprised, causing firefighters to battle the blaze from the outdoors, Keeley said.

Twenty firefighters put out the fire in 30 minutes.

Northwest Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. The damage estimate is unknown.
