Two shooting calls Sunday, including one that left a man dead, are connected, deputies said Monday.

In the first call, deputies found a man who had been shot and killed at a home in the 4300 block of West Valencia Road just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Deputy Cody Gress, a department spokesman, said in a news release.

About 30 minutes later deputies were called to a house in the 5000 block of West Tillery Street and found a man wounded by gunshots. That man was taken to the hospital and was most recently listed in serious condition.

Investigators say the shootings are still being investigated.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88—CRIME, the anonymous tipster line.
