A man was shot and taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries early this morning, officials say. 

The incident happened shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of East 29th Street, near South Swan Road, according to Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson police spokesman. 

The man is said to be in his 20s.

No arrests have been made and the incident continues to be investigated, Dugan said.

No further information was immediately available Tuesday morning.
