A Tucson woman is asking for the public's help, after a shipping box containing her father's ashes was stolen from the doorstep of her central Tucson home.

A Tucson woman is calling for the public to help locate her father's ashes, which were stolen from the doorstep of her home in midtown.

Elyse Brink said on her Facebook page that a package containing the ashes of her recently deceased father were stolen from her residence near East Grant Road and North Tucson Blvd. on Dec. 12. Β

The package required a signature for delivery from the United States Postal Service but the postman waived the requirement, she said.

The package contained β€œone medium sized urn and two keepsake urns”, according to Brink. She described the color as β€œblue egg speckled”.

Two gold scattering tubes and a small black box which contain the remaining ashes were also included in the package. In total, the items weighed a total of 12 pounds and one ounce, she said.

The items may still be in a postal service express package that was shipped from Oklahoma, Brink said.

β€œI know the package can be close to my location or far but I please ask that if you have any information or have seen anything similar, please contact me,” she said.
