Senecca Turner, a former Cienega High School employee, pled guilty to two counts of sexual conduct with a minor in February.

A security staff member/assistant basketball coach at Cienega High School was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexual conduct with a minor, the Pima County Sheriff's Department says.

The following account was given by Deputy James T. Allerton, a spokesman for the sheriff's department:

On Wednesday, school administration at Cienega High School notified the school's resource officer about a possible inappropriate relationship between a student and a school staff member.

Investigators were told there were indications the staffer, Senecca Turner, 37, had sent explicit messages to a 17-year-old female student.

During their investigation, detectives say they developed further information leading to probable cause to arrest Turner, who was booked into the Pima County jail and faces the charge of sexual conduct with a minor.

No other information was released as the investigation continues.

Cienega High, at 12775 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way, is in the Vail School District.

An online roster indicates Turner is an assistant coach of the girls' basketball team, the Bobcats.
