Spreading Threads Clothing Bank: Spreading Threads Clothing Bank has been selected as the Big Give recipient for the second quarter of 2024 by 100+ Guys Who Give Tucson, a local giving circle that supports nonprofits in Southern Arizona.
Spreading Threads Clothing Bank, which serves foster children and the families who support them in Tucson and Southern Arizona, will receive $10,200.
Nonprofits selected for the Big Give each quarter are nominated to be placed into a drawing. Three are selected from the drawing to pitch their charity for a chance at becoming the Big Give recipient. The winner is voted on by 100+ Guys Who Give Tucson members.
Spreading Threads will use the funds to purchase items to replenish the clothing bank, as well as for some operating costs.

Petco Love: Petco Love awarded a two-year, $300,000 grant to Pima Animal Care Center.
PACC will use the funds to help pet owners keep their pets, or if lost, reunite them. In particular, PACC plans to expand its marketing efforts regarding lost and found pets with an emphasis on promoting Petco Love Lost, which PACC began using as its lost-and-found reporting system in 2023.
PACC also will use the grant to build a community lost-and-found team that will educate pet owners and provide necessary supplies like microchips, collars and tags in targeted ZIP codes that see high numbers of pets without homes. This team also will provide transportation to take lost pets back to their owners, as PACC data has shown that lack of transportation can present a barrier in getting pets reunited with their families.
