A car crashed into the rear of a school bus west of Tucson, but no one was injured, said Arizona Department of Public Safety officials.

The crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. on westbound Arizona Highway 86 at South Silver Star Drive, east of the community of Three Points.

The car became lodged underneath the bus, and a person was extricated from the car, a DPS official said.

Officials would not say what district the school bus belonged to, or whether students were on the bus.

No further information was released.
