Nandi turns one

Sue Tygielski, elephant manager at the Reid Park Zoo, works with Nandi every morning and several times throughout the day on holding her trunk to Tygielski's hand and standing still so Tygielski can do a health check. As Nandi grows up she'll learn commands that will allow staffers to draw blood, check her skin, ears, eyes and other things. Nandi will turn one year old on August 20.
