A school bus driver who was moving a sign in the road when he was struck by a vehicle has died from his injuries, Oro Valley police said Friday.

On Jan. 22, Jason Henry, 40, a school bus driver for Casas Church, located at 10801 N. La Cholla Boulevard, was struck outside the church. He had exited a bus to move a sign in the road when he was hit by 2009 Honda Civic that was westbound on Cross Road.

The Honda was driven by a 16-year-old male. The driver told police he did not see Henry in the road until it was to late to avoid hitting him, the police department said in a news release

Henry sustained serious injuries and was taken to Banner-University Medical Center. He died Friday, police said.

There are no criminal charges pending in this case, Oro Valley police said.
