The recycling center at Joaquin Murrieta Park is one of eight that will be shut down.

The city of Tucson is reducing the number of Neighborhood Recycling Centers from a dozen down to seven.

Eight existing centers will be closed, four will remain open and three new centers will open in July.

The city will continue to support the continuation of drop-off recycling options consisting of one center in each of the six wards.
