A Tucson Police officer looks inside a vehicle belonging to one man who was stabbed during a road rage incident near the intersection of Sixth Ave. and 22nd Street on August 16, 2019.

A man is in serious condition after being stabbed by another man during a road rage incident on Tucson's south side, police say.

The stabbing stemmed from an argument after the two men got out of their vehicles near South 6th Avenue and East 22nd Street Friday afternoon, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson police spokesman.

The man involved is not in custody, Dugan said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, an anonymous tipster line.
