More than 1 million fentanyl pills were found hidden inside a vehicle that was recently stopped in Southern Arizona, Tucson police said on social media.

The stop occurred Nov. 12 along Interstate 10. It was part of a multi-agency investigation that included the Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (AZHIDTA), Counter Narcotics Alliance (CNA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration, the post said.

Tucson police say more than 1 million fentanyl pills inside a car pulled over earlier this month on Interstate 10.

The street value of the drugs was estimated at about $4 million.

In the incident, officers stopped a 2016 Dodge Challenger driven by Abraham Loustaunau, 42. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale and possession of a weapon during a narcotic offense. His vehicle was also seized, police said.

“TPD works closely with our local, state, and federal partners to combat the impact of fentanyl and illegal drugs in our community,” the TPD release said.
