Sheriff’s deputies are looking for three men who assaulted a security guard and stole a ring Saturday from Tiffany and Co. in La Encantada mall.

Deputy Alicia Cartwright, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman, gave the following account in a news release: The three men walked into the jewelry store at 2905 E. Skyline Drive just after 10 a.m. and asked to see a ring. They then assaulted the security guard and fled with the ring in a white Nissan Altima with an unidentified dealer placard in place of the plate.

Detectives are asking for public help identifying the three men, as well as a fourth who did not enter the store.

The Sheriff’s Department described them all as African-American men, the first 25-30 years old and last seen wearing a white shirt, red pants and a white hat; the second 30-40 years old, with a mustache and goatee, wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, jeans and a black hat; the third 25-30 years old, with a mustache and goatee, wearing a white tank top, dark shorts, and a black and red hat; and the fourth 30-40 years old, wearing a blue shirt and blue hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
