Mario Junior Romero

The Sheriff's department fugitive unit is looking for a man wanted in connection with kidnapping and aggravated assault charges, authorities said.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old Mario Junior Romero, said Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman, Deputy Ira Sewell.

On August 3, deputies responded to an assault and strangulation that took place near the 4500 block of North La Cholla Boulevard. During the investigation, enough evidence was discovered to obtain a warrant for Romero's arrest, in connection with the incident, Sewell said.

Romero is described as standing 5'11" tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee.

Anyone with information about Romero's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
