Police on Thursday identified two people who died when the motorcycle they were riding and a pickup truck collided on Tucson’s southeast side.

Motorcyclist Daniel W. Cox, 59, and his passenger Pearle M. Perl, 63, died from injuries suffered in the crash just before 5 p.m. Wednesday near South Wilmot and East Golf Links roads, Tucson police said in a news release. Neither was wearing a helmet.

In the wreck, the pair were on a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was struck by a 2012 Ford F-250 pickup. The riders were headed north on Wilmot when they were struck at the intersection by the driver of the pickup truck who was turning onto eastbound Golf Links, police said in the news release.

The crash is still being investigated and no citations have been issued.
