Tucson police this week released surveillance video and photos related to the February arrest of former KVOA newscaster Martha Vazquez on suspicion of shoplifting from Dillard's at Tucson Mall.

Surveillance video of a Feb. 11 shoplifting incident involving former KVOA anchor Martha Vazquez has been released by Tucson police.

One video taken at Dillard’s department store at the Tucson Mall shows Vazquez removing her sweatshirt to try on a jacket, walking to a mirror and returning to a clothes rack where she wraps the jacket inside her sweater.

About 20 minutes later, after she has purchased other items, Vazquez is seen browsing through earrings at a jewelry counter. She selects a pair of earrings and walks to a mirror, past a sales associate, to look at them up against her ears. She then walks back to look at other jewelry displays and appears to slip a pair of earrings into her shopping bag.

Vazquez attempts to leave the store shortly after leaving the jewelry counter but is escorted back inside by three people.

Vazquez stole a $338 Eileen Fisher hooded jacket and a $30 pair of Kenneth Cole earrings, police say.

Vazquez resigned from her position at KVOA two days after the incident.

She is due in court on March 26 for a pre-trial hearing.
