An apparent series of BB gun attacks occurred on the University of Arizona campus Monday night, cracking a window in the architecture building and striking two students β€” all in separate incidents.

According to the University of Arizona Police Department:

On Monday at 9:45 p.m., students working in the architecture building, 1040 N. Olive Road, reported hearing a loud crack. The students saw a window crack, which apparently appeared to be caused by a rock or pellet.

Then at about 10:30 p.m., a student said they were struck by an unknown object at North Tyndall Avenue and East Fifth Street. The victim saw a black sedan driving south on Tyndall and heard a "pop". The student was struck by a small projectile.Β

The third incident occurred at about 11 p.m. A student reported that they were struck by an unknown object on the leg while walking up to the main entrance of the Campus Recreation Center at 1400 E. Sixth Street.

The victim saw a dark colored sedan and heard a "Nerf gun" or "BB gun" sound coming from the direction of the car.

Police ask that anyone with information call 911, 88-CRIME or the University of Arizona Police Department's tips line at 621-8477.Β
