A dog died in a mobile home fire this morning, officials say.

About 10 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters with Rural Metro responded to South Palo Verde and East Drexel roads for a mobile home fire.

Upon arrival, crews found flames coming from the home, but were able to bring the fire under control, the department said on Facebook.

No one was at the home, except for a dog who did not survive.

Fire crews are investigating the cause of the fire. No further information has been released.
