The Arizona State Board of Education is hosting a public hearing in Tucson Thursday to get community feedback on K-12 math and English standards.

The Board of Education’s Academic Standards Development Committee is hosting the statewide hearings over the next month.

The Tucson event is from 6 to 7 p.m., Oct. 29, at Pima Community College’s downtown campus, 1255 N. Stone Ave., Building CC Room 180.

Though the State Board of Education voted to sever ties with Common Core, the current standards will remain in place but they can be modified.
