Nogales Unified School District will join the Pima County Joint Technical Education District, which provides career and technical education.
Voters approved the district's initiative to join JTED. It is now the 14th member district.
Nogales is in Santa Cruz County, which does not have its own joint technical education district. Rio Rico, a town just north of Nogales that is also in Santa Cruz County, is already a member.
More than 1,000 students in Nogales are currently enrolled in career and technical education courses.
