A burst of rain stopped the game in the second inning of the opening game at the sixth annual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta at Kino Stadium on Thursday, September 29, 2016, in Tucson, Ariz.

Thunderstorms and winds moved quickly through Tucson Thursday evening, and the forecast for Friday calls for a slight chance of showers in the morning.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are predicted Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The high on Friday may be between 86 to 92 degrees.

On Thursday, the high was 93 degrees at 3:53 p.m., and the low was 68 degrees at 7:21 a.m.Β 

The cluster of storms produced lightning and more than half an inch of rain in about 30 minutes, said the weather service in a tweet before 6 p.m. The rain caused minor flooding.

More than 2,000 Tucson Electric Power Co. customers were without electricity on the east side. The cause was under investigation.

A rollover tied up traffic on Interstate 10 at the Palo Verde exit. Injuries were unknown and Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers were investigating.

Motorists were bypassing the crash on I-10 eastbound by using the Valencia Road on and off ramps, according to an Arizona Department of Transportation tweet posted shortly before 7 p.m..Β
