The 54thΒ Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair returns to Tucson this weekend.

The biannual event kicks off at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 10. The free event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Over 350 vendors will be present at this winter’s fair including Turtle’s Soup, Juju and Moxie and colored pencil artistΒ Amber Pierson, along with other artists from around the world.

Find more local vendors in The Solar Lot on the southeast corner of Fourth Avenue and Fifth Street. Some of this year’s Solar Lot vendors include Dirty T Tamarindo, Coy Creative, House of Threads Vintage and Ducky’s Pineapple Banana Bread.

There are also over 40 food vendors at the fair such as Tucson Tamale, Eatgypt and Raspado del Sur. If you’re looking for more of a sit-down dining experience, check out one of the many restaurants along Fourth Avenue.

Entertainment includes live music at the fair’s two stages, a caricature artist and a visit from Santa Claus (Saturday and Sunday only), according to the street fair’s website.

This biannual event attracts over 350,000 attendees every year, so parking can get a little hectic. We recommend making parking plans in advance or taking advantage of the (free) Sun Link streetcar to hitch a ride to the fair. (If you park at the Tyndall Avenue Garage, you can easily hop on the streetcar!)

The Fourth Avenue Merchants Association recommends parking at the Pennington Street Garage, Tyndall Avenue Garage or the Plaza Centro Garage.

There will also be a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. There are two stops: the northwest corner of Pennington and Sixth streets and the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and Seventh Street.

The next Fourth Avenue Street Fair takes place from March 22-24, 2024.
