Polls are open until 7 p.m. today for the Arizona primary

President Joe Biden was set to make his first 2024 campaign visit to Arizona visit later today with events planned in the Phoenix area. Former president Donald Trump has yet to visit Arizona this campaign season.

Early results in the state's presidential preference election were expected about 8 p.m.

Independent voters cannot participate in today's vote. They will be able to vote in the July primary election, after choosing a Republican, Democratic or municipal-only ballot.

Identification is required to vote at the polls. Acceptable identification includes a valid Arizona driver's license or state identification card; a tribal enrollment card; or a utility bill and a bank statement, that show your name and address.

Polls close at 7 p.m., but anyone still in line at that time will be able to cast a ballot.
