Pima County building complex

An online public forum for the two people who have applied to be named Pima County Treasurer is set for Thursday night.

The forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Republican Beth Ford, who has held the seat since 2001, announced her resignation last month. Her last day in office is Thursday.

The two applicants hoping to replace Ford are Chris Ackerley, a current deputy treasurer, and Patti E. Davidson, who worked under Ford as her chief deputy from 2001 to 2016.

Ackerley is a candidate seeking the seat in the 2024 general election while Davidson is not running for the office, the county said.

In a news release, Pima County provided a Webex link to attend the forum. Use the password QWzdi9Dyj33 to log in to the forum.

There is no in-person option.
