A series of 30-second ads, two in English and one in Spanish, feature Raúl Grijalva praising Bernie Sanders.

Several new television ads will feature U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva as he backs Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid.

The 30-second ads, two in English and one in Spanish, praise the Democratic candidate for standing up to Wall Street bankers.

Arizona was devastated by Wall Street’s greed in the housing crisis, he explains in the ad.

“I think Bernie’s already said, ‘I’m not going to take your money.’ They know that you’re not getting bull from him. And it’s time Wall Street paid their fair share. And when you make it central to your theme when you’re running for president, you not only have stood up to them, you’ve gotten in their face,” Grijalva says in one of the ads.

“I support Bernie Sanders for one simple reason: He is authentic. If he gives his word, it is done. The values that Bernie has are the values of this country,” said Grijalva in the Spanish-language ad.

The ads are expected to air throughout the state in the days before Arizona’s presidential preference election Tuesday, March 22.

A cost for the ad buy was not immediately available.
