A golf cart fire in a carport spread to a home Friday on Tucson's southwest-side and displaced the homeowner.

No one was injured in the July 14 fire in the 2400 block of South Circle X in the Tucson Estates community, which is east of South Kinney Road and north of West Ajo Way, said Tracy Koslowski, a spokeswoman for the Drexel Heights Fire District.

The first 911 call came in about 6 p.m. and witnesses reported that a golf cart was on fire and the flames spread from the carport to the attached double-wide manufactured home, Koslowski said.

Drexel Heights firefighters were assisted in battling the blaze by the Pascua Pueblo Fire Department, which brought in their ladder truck to help bring the fire under control.

The Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross will assist the homeowner.
